Simple Harmonic Motion ( Physics 10 )
simple harmonic motion is a special kind of vibratory or oscillatory motion.
Vibratory Motion : when a body moves from its mean position to fixed position this motion is known as vibratory motion.
Simple Harmonic Motion (SHM) is defined as the acceleration of body is directly proportional to displacement of body.
(We use here a constant K.
Let know what is K?
K is a spring constant.)
here, F=ma so, K=ma/x
K=m/x x a
K.x/m=a
so, we can write it as
a∝-x
a=-Kx
